Soaked

Today I ran the Crazylegs Classic for the second time. Last year it was windy and cold. This year, it decided to pour. There was not a dry spot on me after mile 1.

I ran with Katie, Joe, Andy, Steve, and Nicole, and we all made it to the finish where we shivered through a couple complimentary beers. I think the hot shower at home was a better reward than the beer.

Three weeks till the Cellcom 1/2 marathon!

What Kath's been up to...

I have taken up crochet with great ferver. Here is my amigurimi animal menagerie which I plan to turn into a mobile for the baby.

New Computer Day! It was finally time to retire the old ibook and upgrade to a Macbook. I am very happy with it, in that it works very similarly to my old one, but has sweeter programs and has 6 times the amount of space. Now I can expand my photos and music, which had been severely limited. Also, a fun new program is MobileMe, which automatically sincs my computer to my iphone. No more wondering if my calendar is current!

Last but not least, here is the baby belly at 15 weeks. CRAZY. Later this week will mark 16 weeks, which equals 4 months, which equals baby comes in 5 months, which equals CRAZY. Some fun new symptoms of late include crying for no reason, IE "Oh, this magazine is nice... bawl." Fortunately, I don't feel full fledged mood swings and have been feeling way too happy. I think Carl will agree with that.

Additionally, the constant nausea has gone away and was replaced with nausea only when eating. This is unfortunate when going out to eat, but I've been learning to control it by eating very small portions of a few different things.

Still craving fruit, but have also added vegetables to the list. Classically, that includes pickles. I don't understand why babies like pickles so much.

And Lastly, I've been feeling a few internal jabs, whether it's hands or feet, I cannot tell. Specifically yesterday I was have a pain right next to my belly button. It was actually quite uncomfortable and hurt the most when I was doing anything but sitting. Finally at dinner time, I poked my fingers deep into that spot, hoping for some relief. Strangely enough, I was poked right back. I then realized that the sassy little bugger must have been trying to stretch out in that point ALL DAY.
