Banjo Hero: Legend in my own mind!

I am totally loving my new banjo which was a gift from Carl this Christmas. I've learned 3 chords and a few songs. My banjo is so beautiful and has a stunningly full sound.

I'm starting to develop the signature callouses on my fingers and complain about it a little less each day.

I am happy to announce that Carl and I picked out a sweet case for it, which pretty much looks like a guitar case. So, give me another day or 2 and we'll be ready to take our act on the road! :)

January Thaw

I spent the past long weekend with my dad skiing in Northern Wisconsin and the UP. We had quite the rage of weather, from near zero on Thursday to near 50 on Sunday. This picture is from Whitecap Resort which by far has the most interesting terrain of the 4 places we skied. Whitecap could use lift repairs and a new lodge, but its charming in its own quirky way.
