ANNIVERSARY #1

First there was a delicious dinner at the Tornado Club using one of our Wedding gift certificates. Amazing steak! On they way home, Carl had turned the recording of our wedding into a CD that we could listen to in the car and it was so awesome listening to everyone singing for us all of our favorite songs.
Jump ahead and we're home. Like a good bride I tried on my dress, however I didn't want to take it off. Carl agree that I can put it on each year. He also took some neat shots that I wanted share. The dress still fit!!! Drank a little Wollershime Ice wine and Carl picked up desserts and cookies from Hubbard Ave Dinner (where the wedding cake came from).

We also exchanged gifts: I went traditional with paper: a paper (money) donation to wisconsin public radio as we have both become big fans of NPR, especially Car Talk. Carl went modern, with the Clock being the first anniversary gift and picked up a stunning chrome pendulum clock with a red face. Simply beautiful. Now we can more closely watch the years fly by! Who knew I was the traditional one and Carl was the modern one? Show of hands, please?

Another wedding milestone has been crossed and it feels good to enter into the relam of "old married couples."

Thank you

A few weeks ago, Carl and I finally finished our "Thank you" notes from the wedding. It was bitter sweet to complete the last piece of the wedding process. I am so appreciative for all the wonderful gifts and everyone's love and support.

I also want to take this time to put an extra thanks out to Justin, Master of Ceremony, and Jennifer, Mistress of Ceremony. I still feel like a schmuck for forgetting to list you in the program. You guys worked so hard make things go smoothly and I really appreciated it!

Mrs. Bowan's Holiday Miracle

Mrs. Bowan is an old friend of mine who comes to visit at Christmas time to spread holiday cheer. I usually run across her in the grocery store just hanging out in the freezer section, looking for a tall hot drink. I invite her and a few of her friends back to my place and we get a little crazy. Did you know that Mrs. Bowan's is a cousin to Bill Richardson and my dad, Wayne Stockman, which I guess sorta makes her related to me too. Have I gone crazy, you may be asking? Nope.

So, Mrs. Bowan is Tom & Jerry batter base. When you're not lucky enough to get a little squirt from Bill or Wayne, Mrs. Bowan will certainly due.

To make a perfect Tom & Jerry:

In a mug, put 1-2 heaping spoonfuls of Tom & Jerry Batter
Add 1 jigger of Brandy
Add 1 jigger of Spiced Rum (optional) (other booze :Rum, vodka, pisco, etc)
Fill mug with hot water
(batter will foam slightly)
Sprinkle generously with nutmeg

ENJOY!

History of the Tom and Jerry

O Anniversary Tree

To celebrate our upcoming first anniversary, I talked Carl into a Christmas tree to display all the ornaments from our wedding. To my surprise, the cats have not fussed with the tree at all!

Our house is now officially ready for the holidays and with that comes all the memories of our Wedding. Everyone made the wedding so special and I loved thinking about each of you as we put the ornaments on the tree. This is a tradition I'm greatly looking forward to each year. And, fortunately, I bought enough ornaments to last 2 life times.

With love,
Katherin
