Carpet!

Another successful project at the Moorland house started with mass chaos last week. The house was in shambles as we pulled every piece of furniture out of all the rooms with carpet and put them into the 2 rooms that don't. The cats were in heaven climbing on the piles of crap. My parents came down and kindly helped ripped out all the old carpet in each room as well as pull out the tack strips (which is an awful job). We also finally decided to pull out that nasty-ass faux built-in that was in the living room. While we don't exactly have a plan for what might happen to that space in the future, it will get plastered and painted for now and makes a lovely space for the kegerator!
To top it off, the carpet installer (Bob Ziegler-who I highly recommend!) was able to squeeze us in Tuesday morning so the new carpet is in place and looking spiffy. We had a little picnic and our little kittens have been lounging around. It feels like we're moving in now, except back into a space that I'm very familiar with. (This time it just looks a lot nicer). We got our new bed set up last night and it's TOTALLY PIMP. I love Ikea. Lots more stuff to move, a few more things to get squared away, and then... time for a party! The color of the carpet is "Corona"--what more can I say??
