Willy and Eron had their baby this morning. Leif Haakon Drew Stockman was born at 1:45 am, weighing 8lbs 3 oz, 20 inches long. Willy says Leif is very wiggly. Everyone is well and they are now at home.

New Meaning to Groundhog's Day

I probably stopped caring about Groundhogs day when I got out of kindergarten and there were no more fun coloring projects to do. I never really understood how a groundhog seeing his shadow could predict winter anyway. In 1993, a cute little movie came out called "Groundhog Day" with Bill Murray and Addie MacDowell (and Chris Elliott, who I love for some strange reason.) So, just like with "A Christmas Story," Comedy Central has taken to playing "Groundhog Day" over and over again on its special day. Which is sort of ironic, because it's a movie about Feb 2nd happening over and over again until Bill Murray's character can "get it right." However, unlike "A Christmas Story," Groundhog day holds a special place in my heart because... Well, I'm a sap. We obviously can't keep doing the same day over and over again until we get it right. But, that doesn't necessarily mean that we go out of our way to do those extra things or say what needs to be said because we assume that we can do it tomorrow. So, I guess the moral of this post is... Happy Groundhogs Day, folks :)
