A Whiter Shade of Unfortunate

I picked up my veil last week and it is beautiful. On Sunday, I tried it on with my dress and, to my surprised, learned that it was a different shade of white. This is sad for so many reasons--the biggest being that the only reason I ordered that stupid veil was to not make my mom do yet another project because I've given her too many already. So, Carl and my mom held up my wedding dress and cut off an extra layer of the tooling and by Monday night my mom had a new veil made for me. Crazy. Another crisis averted.

Not a Competition, But...

As of yesterday, we have gotten 51 RSVPs that "accept" and 2 "decline". You would think that would be good enough, but no. I have to turn this into a competition. Unfortunately, I keep loosing. Carl currently has 26 guests and I have 25. I should probably think of them as "our guests," but it seems just a little more exciting this way. I briefly took the lead last week when the Deutsch's-Party of 6-accepted the invite, but Carl's RSVPs have just been coming back faster. I've decided I belong to a family of procrastinators. It is what it is, I guess :).

Phase 3 of 20 - Complete

Looking for some fun on a Saturday night? I highly recommend making wedding invitations. This group of hooligans put glue stick to paper and secured another phase of the invitation process. Martin, Justin, and Amy were just a few of my friends that spent more than a few hours in the art room back in high school. Martin mentioned Saturday, "did you ever think all that time in the art room would come in so handy?" I immediately said, "yes."

Belated Birthday Blog

Carl entered into his 27th year with free beers at the Nitty Gritty and a celebratory shot with his sister. Thank you Joe, Justin, & Katie for making it out on Thursday night.
