Go Badgers!

Yesterday Katherin and I decided to go see the Badgers kick some San Diego State butt. It was quite an exciting game! Here is a lovely picture of each of us. Katherin has the band as her back drop, and I have some people we don't know as mine.

Nothing says Fall to me quite like college football. We were only a couple sections away from the student section, so we got to enjoy their tasteful cheers throughout the game. Katherin was amazed at my ability to recall them all.

Yes, would be cheaper to stay at home and watch on TV. And our seats often left us with an odd view of the action. But there is something to be said for joining the masses at Camp Randall and screaming your lungs out on a 3rd and long.

Doing Our Homework

I just wrote a really nice post about the adventures Katherin and I had while dessert testing. And then the internet decided to eat it. So now I am mad at the internet.

So here is a picture of me at the place we tasted dessets. In my hand are the left over desserts. They were very tasty and delicious. In fact, I think I will now go and eat some more of the leftover desserts to make me feel better about the internet being so mean to me.

We will purchase many of these sweet morsels for your enjoyment at our wedding.

The End

I am my mother's daughter

Although my mom might deny this, there have been times where she's tried to do a little too much while home alone and ended up on the injured list. Today, I joined that list by doing a very dumb thing. I was zipping from room to room, cleaning to my heart's content. When suddenly, it occurred to me that my bedroom needed to be rearranged. Everything was going fine until I pulled the dresser into my toe and completely broke the nail off my big toe. Ouch. You would think I was old enough to know better... So, I took a little trip to the urgent care, mostly so that they could teach me how the heck to get along without a toe nail for the next 6-9 months. Good thing I was planning on wearing covered toe shoes to the wedding. Which, by the way, is quickly approaching 119 days.

In other news, Carl and Buzz found out today that they will not be moving to the next round of competition for the Early Show. I'd like to share the email that Buzz sent out to his mailing list:

By now, everyone must now that we will not be moving on in the CBS "Living Room Live" contest. While everyone is disappointed YOU ALL gave it a great effort!

I wanted everyone to know that I really appreciate all the votes, e-mails, letters, and calls I received this week. I'm truly humbled how everyone took this and ran with it. Everyone did such a great job getting the word out. We couldn't have asked for a better response.

While we did end up on the short end of the stick this time, I'm amazed at the outpouring of
effort by everyone we know - fans, listeners, family, friends, co-workers, & fellow musicians!

From the bottom of my heart thank you and take this lesson: Carl and I made this video in 3 minutes and submitted it amongst hundreds if not thousands of entries. NEVER be afraid to take a chance, no matter what the odds are. Never let someone tell you that you can't do something. And never be afraid to be yourself!

Best wishes and always follow your dreams,
Buzz Meade
